When you surrender in a multi-table game, it doesn’t matter if you have had a good run; you must call a surrender if all bets on the table are paying off, including your last bet, before you can call it a day.

In fact, that’s a little “black hat” strategy that many players use to beat the casinos at their own game. While casinos are able to calculate the odds based on numbers and statistics, the true skill lies within the individual player. That’s why most casinos frown on people that try to cheat the system by betting large amounts that they can’t afford, or betting using under-the-counter (OTC) cash, which means there is no proof of authenticity. So, when playing blackjack, be smart, play at a reputable venue, and remember that you can only beat the casino’s odds, not the casinos’ odds.
