Eligibility:Abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system appointed to CASA by the Juvenile Judge of the 9th Judicial Circuit.
Area Served:McDonough County Juvenile Court cases. Children may be placed in foster homes outside of McDonough County.
Services Provided:CASA Volunteers advocate for abused and neglected children who find themselves in the court system through no fault of their own. CASA volunteers are another set of eyes and ears for the juvenile judge.
Comments:CASA Volunteers must pass a thorough background check and meet the requirements for becoming a volunteer. Volunteers are sworn in after successfully completing the 30-hour nationally accredited training.
