Eligibility:Anyone who needs assistance in finding out how going to work will impact their Social Security Disability Benefits.
Area Served:Adams, Brown, Cass, Fulton, Greene, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Knox, Macon, MaCoupin, Mason, McDonough, Menard, Mercer, Morgan, Moultrie, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, and Warren
Services Provided:Provide referrals to assist with barriers to employment such as housing, training, childcare, transportation, etc; Offer protection and advocacy legal assistance to help resolve return to work issues such as accessing accommodations; Explain how all of you benefits will be affected by going to work. These benefits include: SSI, SSDI, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, housing, etc.; Provide ongoing benefits management even after you are working. Offer you a written benefits analysis showing you how income from work will change your benefits.
Comments:By understanding the work incentives programs of Social Security, you may be able to go back to work. If you are already working, you may be able to earn more money. There is a possibility that you may no longer need to rely on Social Security benefits.
